Track Rules
General Rules
1. Gate Fee for all point classes will be $30.00 for the kart and driver.
2. Gate fee for all exhibition classes will be $20.00 for the kart and driver.
3. Cashmere speedway, nor the management is responsible for stolen or damaged property.
4. Cashmere speedway reserves the right to check coolers at the gate.
5. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES of any kind will be tolerated on the premises. Drinking or any use of a controlled substance is strictly prohibited, immediate eviction from the property will be enforced.
6. Any group or individuals littering or dumping fluid with the exception of water on the property will be removed and prohibited from future events.
7. Only track officials are allowed on the flag stand unless permission is granted by a track official.
8. No abusive language or gestures toward track officials will be tolerated. The offending individual(s) will be immediately escorted from the track.
9. Spectators are prohibited from giving hand signals to any racer while competing, the penalty will be disqualification of the offending kart from that race.
Flag and Race Rules
1. No driver will be allowed on the track without signing a release form.
2. All drivers must have all safety equipment on before going onto the track. Helmet, neck brace, long pants, long sleeved shirt, and gloves are the minimum requirement. Failure to have all required equipment will result in black flag.
3. All karts in all classes must be presented to the Tech inspector for a safety inspection, karts without a tech inspection will not be allowed on the track. Any kart deemed unsafe during a race will be disqualified and removed from the race.
4. Any complaint, dispute or disagreement with Cashmere Speedway shall be submitted in writing on a complaint form provided by the TECH official, only complaints written on the official form from Cashmere Speedway will be accepted. The form must be signed and dated with the kart number. The complaint will be answered at the next event. No complaints, disputes or disagreement will be addressed verbally.
5. A minimum of four karts, required to make a class and must participate in the feature for a cash payback.
6. Practice will be two five-lap sessions for each class.
7. Participation of eleven classes or more during race night will reduce the two ten lap heat races to one fifteen lap heat race, the feature will remain a twenty lap event.
8. All races will have a fifteen-minute time limit including the feature, the timer will start when the field takes the green flag. The score person will keep the time on each event.
9. All points class races will have a two spin out rule (meaning any kart bringing out the caution twice) will be disqualified from that race.
10. Only kids class karts (weed eater motor) will be awarded trophies. No trophies awarded to the other classes with the exception, the winner of any points feature may take a trophy in lieu of $20.00 payback.
11. WKA rules apply to stock engine classes with all shields in place at all times and header bolts safety wired.
12. Slick tires only (some classes may run treads only with track approval)
13. Rookie bumpers are required for purple and blue plate classes.
14. All weights must be bolted down in the kart and painted white.
15. Four number panels are required. They must be readable fro the flag stand. (locations are: right front or nose, both sides, and a rear number plate)
16. All karts must be weighed after each heat and feature. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and you will forfeit race points. If you fail to finish a race, you must push your kart across the scales before going to your pit or forfeit your points
17. Anyone who does not qualify with his class will start at the rear in the feature.
18. Each race is allowed only 1 double-file restart, then single-file.
19. If you are black-flagged in an event, no points will be awarded for that event.
20. All starts will be at the exit of turn four, no passing until the green flag falls.
21. The driver is responsible for his pit crew, anyone arguing with track officials will be disqualified.
22. Cashmere Speedway officials decisions are final in all matters.
23. You have 3 laps to enter the track, after which the entry gate will be closed.
24. Only track officials are allowed on the track during the race, no exceptions.
25. On starts, if the kart in front of you drops out, move up.
26. No bumping or rough driving will be tolerated. This will be strictly enforced.
27. If you bring out a caution during the race you will be moved to the rear of the field.
28. If you leave the track during a race, you will not be allowed to return to the track during that event.
29. If you are protested and found to be illegal, you will loose points for each race you participated in.
30. Disqualification for any reason, means you will forfeit all points for that race.
31. You must start the feature to receive any points for that race.
32. Points are awarded to the driver, not the kart.
PROTEST RULES
1. Only the tech-man, a track official, and the driver or the owner of the protested kart can witness the inspection of the protested engine.
2. Participants can only protest the kart that finishes directly in front of them; both must be on the lead lap.
3. The protest fee will be to $300.00
4. The protest acceptance fee will be $100.00
5. Once the protest is filed and the tech inspector has accepted the protester's fee the protest cannot be retracted. If protest is not accepted by the protested the $300.00 is returned to the protester, and the protested forfeits all winnings or points from that evenings events.
6. After inspection of the protested is completed, if the engine is determined to be a LEGAL engine:
The owner of the protested engine will receive $250.00 and the engine of the kart protesting will be inspected for legality IMMEDIATELY.
If the protesting kart is found legal, the owner and or driver will be reimbursed $50.00
If protesting kart is found illegal, the owner and or driver of the protesting kart will be disqualified from the evenings event and with the loss of all winnings or points for that event.
The Tech inspector will receive $50.00 for inspection of the protested engine and $50.00 for the inspection of the engine of the protesting kart.
The remaining $50.00 will go into the Cashmere speedway point fund.
7. After inspection of the protested engine is completed, if the engine is determined to be an ILLEGAL engine:
The owner and or driver of the protested engine will be disqualified from the evening's event and the loss of all winnings or points for that event.
The owner of the kart protesting will be reimbursed $300.00
The Tech inspector will receive $50 for inspection of the protested engine.
The remaining $50 will go into the Cashmere Speedway point fund.
